Como, July 23-rd, 2011. The Italian Ministry of Public Administration and Innovation, together with the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People´s Republic of China (MOST), the China-Italy Transfer Technology Center in Beijing and the Shanghai Association for Tech-Transfer Promotion, have organized the "Italia Degli Innovatori" event in Shanghai. The event, to be celebrated in the period October 29-th - November 5-th 2011, will take place in the presence of Italy´s Minister Renato Brunetta and China´s Minister Wan Gang. The event is part of an ongoing collaboration initiative in the field of technology innovation in the framework of an agreement between the two countries.
Ontonix has been selected to form part of the Italian delegation of companies and will participate at the 8-day event, during which bilateral meetings between Italian and Chinese corporations shall be held in Shanghai and Nanjing. "We are very proud to form part of the Italian delegation" said Dr. J. Marczyk, Founder and Chief Technical Officer of Ontonix. "Our aggressive Research and Development effort over the past few years has enabled us to launch a series of unique products such our internet-based self-rating and diagnosis system for both large corporations as well as SMEs" he added. Ontonix has been awarded a contract from Yamana Gold to carry out a pilot project involving Complexity Analysis studies on operational data from one of their gold mines in Brazil. Ontonix will demonstrate the applicability of its Complexity-based Analysis to extract hidden knowledge from system data, which can be used to improve planning, management and control of the operations.

Como, May 3-rd, 2010. Ontonix has signed a Co-operative Research And Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) based in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. This CRADA represents an important milestone in Ontonix´s endeavor to deploy complexity analysis technology in the healthcare space.
Ontonix develops COSMOS, a multi-channel real-time system which quantifies the stability of hospitalized patients. Based on streaming data, originating from sensors and other monitoring devices such as those in an Intensive Care Unit, the device measures the instantaneous degree of stability of a patient. The system also signals when the mentioned stability undergoes changes due to traumas, side-effects of treatment or any other dynamic mutations within the patient´s organism. The technology is unique in that it processes simultaneously all channels, analyzing all the cross-relationships, delivering a truly holistic view of the patient´s state. Most importantly, since the collected data is processed by the system according to a model-free technique, the measure of stability of the patient is not biased by any particular mathematical approach.
